Fashion in my Music Video

These are the decided outfits I would prefer Emily to wear in the music video-

Woodland
I would like Emily to wear one of either of our prom dresses, which are either white or ivory. She is going to wear it with a headband made of dried flowers which is orginally from Leeds Festival 2012. I would also like her to wear some anklets. I would describe look as almost like a 'fairy' :-)
I will prefer her to have bare feet or some delicate sandals.

In the other 'woodland' scene which is a picnic, she will wear pastel coloured or jazzy shorts/dress, I am also thinking about giving her a retro headscarf and 'Cat-Eye' sunglasses. She will also wear a blouse or a bralet which I am not deciding till before we film.

Bedroom
In the telephone/floor scenes in the bedroom, Emily will wear a cream/ivory blouse with a fussy flower collar. She will wear 1960's/70's style pearl white earrings with gold rimmings. To make the look not too overly fussy, she wears black leather leggings with the blouse, and has bare feet.

In the 'bed' scene, Emily is going to wear black and cream/beige netted lingerie which has a silky texture. However, I am going to make it look more 'subtle' by draping her in lots of old-fashioned jewellery and also slightly wrap some of the silk bed throw (which she is also laid on) around her. She will also wear a lot of jewellery such as necklaces, rings and a pair of earrings to emphasis her 'wealth' in the video. She is also wearing nude platform heels.

'Wall' Scene

Emily is going to wear a dark blue velvet/velour dress with a detailed white collar. She will also wear black tights. There is no need for shoes because it is inside the house and you will not see them as the shots are close-ups/medium close ups.

'Backstreet'/'Tenfoot' Scene
I am using a 'biker' 'rocker chic' look for these scenes. Em will wear a leather biker jacket, and then a black fringed bralet. Then she is either going to wear black lycra disco-pants or high-waisted blue denim shorts with the US flag printed on them (mainly the pockets) with fishnet tights with holes cut into them. These will be worn with lots of silvery symbolic jewellery and high-heeled black boots.

Make Up and Hair Ideas for my Music Video

Woodland Scene

Make-Up

For my location in the 'woodland'/park area, my artist is going to be wearing one of two undecided prom dresses. However, they are both similar shades, one is white, and one is a cream/ivory shade. I have overall decided for this that I will give her quite an 'innocent', 'mild' and natural make up look, as many of her looks in this video are a bit more 'over the top'. I have decided she will wear a lightly coloured foundation, with no lip colour or a very pale pink shade. Also a rosy blush and a white/gold shimmer (which goes with the dress) to highlight her cheekbones. Also on her eyelids she is going to wear a light white silver shadow, but not to heavy, with little mascara. I will also colour in her eyebrow hair more to define her brows. Her nails will be plain or painted an ivory/cream shade.

Hair
For Emily's hair in this scene it is going to be naturally straight, but I am putting it in a loose messy bun. I am decorating it with a flower chain headband, either one with beige roses or one which is made of dried leaves and dried cream flowers.

Bedroom Scenes
There is two scenes in the bedroom. One is Emily laid on the bed, and the other is Emily curled up on the floor beside the bed. However, the look for both is very similar, even though the outfits are different.

Make-Up

In the 'floor' scenes Emily is wearing foundation, and a light rosy blusher . However, the look is more heavier, she wears red lipstick and has black smoky eyes and eyeliner flicks with thick black mascara. I also used an eyebrow pencil to define her eyebrows shape/colour more. The make up is the same in the 'bed' scenes.

Hair
As my video is styled to be 1960's/70's, I have also put Emily in hair rollers as it is a stereotypical of a 1960's/70's 'vintage housewife' woman for the floor scenes. In the ones where she is laid on the bed it will be in curls (styled like Marilyn Monroe) instead of the rollers.

Wall Scene

Make-Up

This will be the same as the bedroom scene make up, except she will wear just thick eyeliner flicks instead of more heavy smoky eye look. I also will put a 'beauty spot' on her face, like in the style of Marilyn Monroe.

Hair
Emily's hair will be the same style also as the 'bed' scene.

'Tenfoot'/Backstreet' Scene

Make-Up
Emily will wear foundation, with a more burgundy/red heavy lipstick. I would like have to have smoky eyes with thick liquid eyeliner flicks and thick, black mascara, to make her eyes give a good but still pretty 'dark effect'. She will also wear some slight blusher to highlight her cheekbones, but I will contour them more so they look more 'harsh' and significant. I was also colour in her eyebrows to define them more like the other shots. I would describe the look I want to get across as a kind of  'rocker' look.

Hair
I would like Emily's hair to be naturally straight but I am going to make it a little more 'limp' and ruffled as it helps show that she looks more 'careless' which is the characteristic I am trying to get across in the shots I am going to film. I am not going to add any heat tools or hair products.

Locations for my Music Video

For the 'Super 8' Camera old-fashioned footage I am filming in Pickering Park, West Hull. It is a public park with a childrens park and swimming pool but I am using the flower gardens/woodland/bird aviary area for the setting.

I am also filming in my bedroom, for the bed scenes in my music video. I am going to try and get props to make it look a bit more 1960's esque, like the following image for example.

For some of my other scenes further into the video, I am filming my artist (Emily) against a white wall but editing the colour to a 'polaroid' 'red/green/blue tv signal' effect edit. An example of this is like in one of Marina and The Diamonds videos (shown below).

For my fourth location I had the idea to use an almost 'run down', gloomy area. For this I am using a 'tenfoot'/backstreet behind some houses nearby where I live in West Hull, like this picture for example.
