Response of Burton Constable

Burton Constable do not open in the Winter season so I would be unable to use the location for my music video, which is a shame as it would of been ideal but due to coursework timing I would not be able to use it in time of the completion of my video.

E-mail of permission to Burton Constable

I will be filming on Burton Constable grounds as they are public, but I will need permission to film inside. I have sent Head of Enquires and Adminstration, Helen Dewson, an e-mail to ask her.

Update on Location

I did give this some thought, but I have finally decided to film more of my video at a change of location, Burton Constable Hall. I will film in the grounds as part of my 'home video' location, although some may still be done at Pickering Park. It is allowed to film in the grounds as they are public, however I was hoping to be able to film in the Burton Constable house itself but need to e-mail for permission as it may not be allowed.

Burton Constable is a brick manor house from the 15th Century situated in Holderness/Skirlaugh, just outside east Hull, East Yorkshire. It includes a great Elizabethan Hall, Dining Room, Saloon Staircase, Long Gallery, Gold Bedroom, Great Drawing Room, Blue Drawing Room, Chippendale Room, and Chinese Room. These were all re-decorated in the 17th Century.

Test Shots

I have filmed shots for the 'telephone' scene in my video. Since then I have changed the camera, and also the lighting plans have changed for that scene.

Props

These are the props I'm going to use in my music video:-

Bedroom Scene
In the 'telephone/floor' scene the props used are the old-fashioned red telephone, the photograph of her 'ex' boyfriend and also the wedding ring.

In the other bed scene where Emily is laid on the bed, the props are a bed throw, lots of old fashioned jewellery and pearls (which she will be draped in) and american dollars (not real ones, just printed out paper)

Wall Scene
There is no props in the wall scene to be used.

Backstreet/'Tenfoot' Scene
The props used in this footage will be a cigarette, and also I have recently added a shot where Emily kicks a glass bottle in anger, so I will also include a glass wine bottle in this.

Woodland Scene

In the 'home video-camera' footage, when Emily dances in the white dress I am thinking about giving her some netting to glide around with. I think it will make the video look more effective.
In the picnic scene in the 'home-video' footage the props will be a checkered picnic blanket,  a picnic basket and plates/cutlery and some food.

Casting

I am only casting one person as the artist in my music video.  It is my friend Emily, she is 17 years old and also from Hull. She fits the role of my '1960's/70's' girl perfectly,as I can combine her appearance to look more vintage style, with the different hairstyles, clothes and make-up inspired.
